Creating a Magento Newsletter
It is vitally important to let your customers know about any promotions and discounts that your company may be doing. The best way to do this is through the Magento newsletter functionality.
The first thing you need to do is to enable the option that allows your customer to agree to receive your newsletter, the worse thing you can do is spam a customer with newsletters that they don’t want.
To enable this feature go to Magento Admin Area > System > Configuration > Customers > Newsletter. If you look at the Subscription Options tab and expand it you will see the option ‘Need to Confirm’ set that to Yes.
After this, you need to do is to create your Newsletter Template by going to Magento Admin Area > Newsletter > Newsletter Templates > Add New Template. From here you can create your newsletter template that you will send to your customers. Once you are done you can preview the template and save it. From then, you can send your newsletter to your subscribed customers. You can check who is subscribed and can manually unsubscribe people by going to Magento Admin Area > Newsletter > Newsletter Subscribers.
